This is Ebac’s latest plumbed in water cooler the "Fmax Direct Dispense POU". It offers outstanding performance and reliability, as well as a variety of key features that really do make it the "evolution" of water coolers.
Great Tasting and Hygienic-Filtration is at the point of dispense, water is pure, refreshing and tastes as good as bottled water
Green Green Green-Reduce your carbon footprint-30% Lower Running Costs, the hot and cold tanks are vacuum insulated, they work like thermos flask making the Fmax very efficient-the hot tank is award winning.
Filtration–0.5 Micron Filtration - The direct dispense concept means all you have to do to sanitise is change the filtration and nozzle. To change filtration simple turn off water and power supply, pop the lid off, swap the filters and nozzle, and you’re ready to go- hassle free.
What’s included when you Purchase the F max POU water cooler online.

Ebac have released their latest POU (point of use) plumbed in water cooler. For Crystal Clear this has been long awaited as it offers so many solutions to all the other water coolers currently available. Find out why I believe this mains filtered water dispenser will perform so much better for your business, than any other product currently available.
The Water Cooling System
The Fmax POU cooling system utilises air free, pressure vessel concept. This is not new technology, Oasis Kalix as well as many other plumbed in water coolers currently use this method of chilling the water. The concept is a vessel connected to the mains supply, Inside the vessel is a stainless steel coil for chilling the water it uses mains pressure and solenoids valves to control the water flow. This design gets a higher through put of chilled water, more importantly it means no air born contaminants can enter the water system, this is one of the most likely paths of contamination. In my opinion, you would find in most cases lower bacteria counts in these particular designs.
However one problem with this technology is the filtration. When filtration is installed, it would always be as close as possible to point of dispense. This means just before the water enters the water dispenser, after the water has passed the filter, chlorine amongst many other particles and bacteria are no longer present. So inside the cooler there is no Chlorinated water, meaning that if any bacteria should enter, for example a filter not changed after the correct time, or incorrect sanitation, bacteria could start to slowly multiply. This is why sanitation schedules are important, it’s also worth mentioning that sanitation is not so straight forward with the direct chill because you cannot simply open the reservoir in a traditional method, pour in sanitation solution and flush out. The sanitation solution (usually hydrogen peroxide) has to be introduced into the lines just after the filter installation, this means you need a dosing cartridge, like the Aqua dosa to dispensed fluid effectively through the system, also some test strips to measure the strength of hydrogen peroxide present. One way some manufactures have got round this problem is by installing UV filters which are very effective at killing bacteria; these also have their downsides, and need regular changes which can become expensive and usually available in expensive or high end corporate models. The other option (until Fmax Arrived) is to drink chlorinated water, from the dispenser which gives the bad nose, and taste. This would mean removing filtration (or just have particulate only filtration) and have chlorinated water constantly sanitising the water lines inside the cooler.
FMax Water Cooler Direct Dispense
So how does the FMAX offer a simple solution to the sanitation problems, by what they are calling ‘direct dispense’ technology. The answer to the problem was to move the filtration, so instead of filtering water before it enters the water cooler, it filters it at the last possible point - where the water is dispensed. Meaning bacteria won’t build up inside the cooler because it’s a sealed environment and chlorine is present. So no more sanitations to worry about- just change the filters.
Filters
The Fmax is installed with two high quality filters, these are manufactured for Ebac by Cuno Water Filter Systems. Cuno is industry leading and have produced a first class carbon block which reduces sediment down to 0.5 micron, removes protozoan cysts- cryptosporidium and Giardia. The other great thing about the filtration is its quick change so it takes seconds to change the filters and dispense nozzle. What you then have is 100% sanitation, without any short cuts or mistakes possible by the person responsible for sanitising the cooler.
A Greener Cooler
The Fmax is also kinder to the environment. It features a vacuum insulated cold vessel that will conserve energy, this is also complimented by the award winning vacuum insulated hot tank which saves around £32 per year helping to reduce your carbon footprint. The dual carbon filters means sanitisation does not require chemicals or cleaning fluids thereby reducing impact on the environment. The filters are also recyclable these can be returned to Crystal Clear or Ebac so they can be recycled in an eco friendly way.
Drip Tray
The old drip tray with dirty water is a thing of the past – no longer will you be tempted to empty the last of your coffee into the deep tray that might never get emptied and is really tricky to clean out. Spillages are less likely; drips are taken to an evaporation reservoir that is heated by natural energy generated from the compressor.
High Dispense Point-No more stooping or bending required to dispense water.
Stylish and Modern-We supply a choice of 8 panel colours. This gives you the flexibility to create a customisable look to suit your environment.
Built in Wheels-Easily transported from one location to another safely in one piece, and with no heavy lifting.
